Suelyn and Pascal married outdoors at Landleben Potsdam, beside the lake at Groß Glienicke. The water did far more than sit in the background: people were in it before the day was out, and the celebration stretched well into the night.

It was relaxed, a little wild, and entirely their own. The best moments could not be planned, only waited for. It ran from bright afternoon light into the dark, and got louder as it went. I stayed until the music stopped, which was a good deal later than I'd planned for.
