Portraits on film
I photograph people who make music, stand on stages, or build something of their own, and anyone who simply loves the way an analogue portrait looks. On film, in Berlin or wherever you are at home.
A portrait session gives you something that has become rare: time to settle in, to let your shoulders drop, and to be seen as you are. I guide when needed, but the best frames usually happen between the poses.
I work in colour or black and white, on medium format or 35mm, whichever suits the occasion. Portraits are where film shines: it gives skin colour and depth, the grain gives the pictures texture, and nothing is smoothed away.
A portrait session in Berlin
We can work in a studio, at your home, at your workplace, or outdoors in the city. Travel further afield by arrangement.
After the session you receive a carefully edited selection as high-resolution scans, ready to print and share.
Every session is quoted individually: it depends on how long we photograph, where we meet, and what the portraits are for. Write me a few lines about yourself and what you have in mind, and I will send you a quote.
